Guiding Principles
We believe that personal and collective liberation begins with love.
As people shaped by white privilege, it is our responsibility to commit over and over again to racial justice and collective liberation.
While each of us struggles with our own internal, personal challenges, we have the innate capacity to heal and to feel more dignity, belonging, and wholeness in our bodies, hearts, and minds.
The roots of white supremacy also show up in each of us personally, and can cause us to unknowingly contribute to dysfunction in our lives and in our movements for social change.
Healing these roots within each of us enables us to show up more whole, have more meaningful relationships, and contribute to more transformative work toward racial justice and collective liberation.
Personal and political growth is hard work, and we see progress and setbacks as equally valuable parts of the process. This work is not linear. We honor where we each are each day, without judgement, and we stay committed to our healing and to each other.
As facilitators, we are committed to doing this lifelong work ourselves, and to creating a loving and open space for participants to show up as their whole selves, and heal the roots together.
