Collective Learning Cohorts
We facilitate an annual learning cohort from January through September each year. Together, we practice a combination of rigorous political education, tender reflection, and sharing in community. We focus on healing the roots of racism and harm that live in each of us, so that we can develop new ways of showing up in our communities, the world and in our movements towards collective liberation. Together we will:
Connect somatically with what political-spiritual liberation feels like in our bodies, and what becomes possible when living from that place;
Recognize the specific ways we each cause harm, mostly unconsciously, and realize how those actions reflect and reinforce ideologies of oppression;
Develop clear and accessible roadmaps for reshaping into the people we want to be.
This learning cohort is designed for folks who experience white privilege to understand and heal from the ways we have been shaped by being placed at the top of a racist social hierarchy. If you have questions about if this is a good fit for you, please contact us - we’d love to talk to you about it.

“Incredible. I have learned so much about myself, my patterns and their societal roots, and how it plays out/affects others in my life. I can feel and see tangible growth. This experience has changed me and will continue to do so. Also, I feel real connection with the folks in this community and folks' intimacy/willingness to be vulnerable that I don't experience in other areas of my life.”

“This cohort was the first time in my life I felt able to, and had the resources to unmask the shadowy internal violence that was haunting me. I don't ever join things like this, but they made it so easy to be there, and now I will more often!”

“I got more out of the Healing the Roots cohort than a year of weekly therapy. Honing in on my "stuff", feeling the practices in my body through somatics, and being held in community by this skilled and purposeful facilitation team and their solid coaching skills has resulted in so much healing and growth for me. I have been a part of many online cohorts, and many of them have been around racial justice and operating differently as white people. I had sworn them off because they were frustrating and left me feeling more disconnected and less resourced to create the change I care about in the world. I'm so glad I joined Healing the Roots and got to feel the power of actually moving towards who my soul wants me to be, in service of a liberated world.”
