Sharon Groves (she/her) is a community builder, strategist, and organizer who has spent more than two decades working at the intersection of spirituality, justice, and social change. At the Festival Center in Washington, D.C., she helps cultivate programs, partnerships, and spaces that bring together organizers, advocates, artists, faith communities, and neighbors to build a more just, connected, and life-giving city. Her work includes developing community initiatives and programming, supporting movement leaders, fundraising, and creating opportunities for healing, storytelling, and collective imagination.

Throughout her career, Sharon has designed and facilitated workshops, coached leaders, and supported organizations advancing racial, LGBTQ+, gender, and economic justice. She has worked nationally with such organizations as the Human Rights Campaign and Auburn Seminary, among others. She also serves on the board of the LGBTQ Religious Archives Network.  Sharon is currently pursuing certification in enneagram coaching from the Chestnut Paes Enneagram Academy.  

At the heart of Sharon's work is a belief that lasting change grows from relationships, belonging, and helping people discover their gifts in service of our collective liberation. She has lived in DC for more than 30 years with her partner, Ann, and loves exploring city's hidden magic.
